This purse cost around $10 to make, thanks to a very good Goodwill find. The Nightmare Before Christmas pattern was actually a twin sheet set that my friend, B, found on one of our trips to the local Goodwill for $3. Being a huge Tim Burton fan, she couldn’t pass it up and said that it was the perfect look for her purse.
I’m very proud at the outcome of this purse. My stitching is much straighter than the first one and there was minimal bunching. I still have much to learn, but I can definitely say that I’m getting better. This bag even feels a lot sturdier than the one that I made myself.
The zipper on the change purse was a challenge. I had a tutorial and all, but I still had problems getting it to do what I wanted. But, practice makes perfect, I guess. All-in-all, I took my time and spent about 3 1/2 days on this project. Now to take a small break before starting on my next project, which is an apron for me. I super excited to give that a try. :)
